Sunrise yawns and stretches across the sky, reaching it's rays down towards this independent shopping street. This hand drawn image of Park Street and the Guild was drawn one lovely afternoon whilst perched upstairs in a cafe. Vincenzo's is no longer functioning and the Guild has recently closed it's doors, yet this is a recognisable, iconic view of Park Street and some of the wellknown features that make it great.

Initially sketched into an A3 sketchbook, I have tranferred the drawing on to screen by tracing it onto mark resist, which is silmilar to tracing paper. Using the photographic process of serigraphy this image has been translated onto a screen. Each colour is printed one at a time, and registration of each layer is done by eye. With the colour blended sky no two prints are identical, as the blend changes slightly with each pull of the squeegee. Each of these prints is slightly different, due to the process of creation. This means you will each receive a unique print.

Printed onto Somerset satin paper, this print measures 38 x 28cm and is printed to the edges of the paper, which has deckled edges.it is an edition of 24 prints. Each one will be signed and editioned by the artist. Please note, the sky in each piece will be a variation on the one pictured, but not identical, due to the process of creation.
